Delivery policy at Barney Bats explains how we aim to provide fast, reliable and transparent delivery for all cricket bat services, DIY repair kits and accessories. This Delivery Policy explains how we process, package and ship items within the United Kingdom.
1. Delivery Areas
These United Kingdom locations are within Free Shipping threshold:
- All UK mainland addresses
- Northern Ireland
- Isle of Man, Channel Islands & Scottish Highlands (delivery times may vary)
International delivery is subject to Shipping fee (Products & Accessories Only):
- Australia – Mainland
- Bangladesh
- Canada
- India
- Ireland
- Nepal
- New Zealand
- Pakistan
- United States of America – Mainland
Please note that we are not responsible for other fees such as Customs fees, Duties and similar.
Other international countries may be available on request — please contact us before ordering.
2. Processing Times
For Products & Accessories
Orders for accessories, DIY repair kits and non-service items are typically processed within: Same day (Monday-Thursday) when order is received and paid by 12pm
For Cricket Bat Repairs & Refurbishments – UK Only
Once your bat is received at our workshop, typical turnaround times are:
- Standard repairs: 5–10 working days
- Full refurbishments: 10–14 working days
High-season periods may require additional processing time. If delays occur, we will contact you.
3. Delivery Methods & Couriers
We use trusted UK couriers such as Royal Mail, Evri, DPD or UPS depending on the size and value of the parcel.
You will receive:
- A confirmation email when your order is dispatched
- A tracking link where available
- Estimated delivery time from the courier
Barney Bats reserves the right to update courier selection based on parcel safety and speed.
4. Delivery Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight, size and delivery location.
Typical charges:
- Products & Accessories: FREE UK Tracked Delivery above £50 (below £50 – £6.95)
- Bat Return Shipping fee (after repair): £15 (Ultimate Refurbishment with Re-handle comes with FREE return postage)
Final costs will be shown before payment.
5. Packaging & Safety
We take great care to ensure your cricket bat, product, DIY kit or accessories arrive safely.
For bats, we use:
- Reinforced parcel tubes or custom bat boxes
- Internal padding
- Fragile labels where appropriate
We strongly recommend customers returning bats for repair use similarly protective packaging.
6. Missed Deliveries & Re-delivery
If the courier is unable to deliver your parcel:
- A delivery attempt notice will be left (calling card or email)
- You may collect from a local depot or arrange re-delivery
Unclaimed parcels returned to us may require an additional shipping charge to resend.
7. Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses
Please ensure your delivery details are correct at checkout.
Barney Bats is not responsible for delays or lost parcels caused by:
- Incorrect postcodes
- Incomplete addresses
- Missing delivery instructions
We will assist where possible, but re-delivery costs may apply.
8. Damaged Parcels
If your parcel arrives damaged, please notify us within 48 hours with:
- Photos of the packaging
- Photos of the damaged item
- Your order number
We will arrange a replacement, repair or claim depending on the circumstances.
9. Lost Parcels
A parcel will be considered lost once confirmed by the courier.
If this occurs, we will:
- Initiate a courier investigation
- Offer a replacement or refund once the investigation is complete
Claims times vary by courier and may take up to 10 working days.
10. Delivery of Repair Services
For customers sending bats to us:
- You are responsible for postage to the workshop unless otherwise agreed
- We are responsible for safe delivery of your completed bat back to you
